COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Southern Michigan Bank and Trust (SMBT) has announced relief efforts for customers directly affected by the partial government shutdown.
President and Chief Executive Officer John Waldron says, “We recognize the unexpected financial hardship many are facing as a result of the government shutdown, We are here, and we are committed to supporting our customers during these challenging times.”
SMBT will assist customers who are federal and state employees, employees who work for government contractors, vendors, and other businesses that rely on the government’s workers.
They are willing to work with customers on a case-by-case basis for various means of assistance.
