COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Hillsdale County attorney who was convicted on charges of domestic violence earlier this year in Branch County is now facing additional charges of OVI and Parole Violation.
33- year old Daren Wiseley is facing an OVI charge following a single-car crash last weekend in Branch County, subsequently leading to parole violation charges.
Wiseley had a bond set earlier this week at $1,000 cash or surety.
Earlier this summer Wiseley had his law license suspended for 180 days for professional misconduct stemming from multiple legal issues.
In addition to his Branch County domestic violence conviction in February, he was also convicted of failure to report an accident in 2024 and of battery in Florida in March of last year. He also had findings of being in criminal contempt in Presque Isle County in 2023.
Wiseley was ordered not to possess or consume alcohol or drugs. He must submit to random alcohol and drug testing and was ordered not to operate a motor vehicle.
