COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – There are plans for a used car business to move into the former Knapp Pools store at 459 Marshall Street in Coldwater.
The Coldwater Planning Commission approved a Special Land Use Permit for the proposed business Monday night which would be located within the C-1 Community Business District.
The business would be known as DD Used Car Sales and it would be owned by Hermiller Holdings of Defiance, Ohio.
Coldwater Planning & Zoning Administrator Robert Hawley said no new construction, structural modifications, or exterior changes are proposed.
Hawley says the owner has told renter and tenant Djemcy Doliscat they will not offer auto repairs.
The request was approved 6-1 with Chris Stevens casting the only no vote.
As a special land use application, the petition does not require City Council review or approval.
