COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Cub Scout Pack 433, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Coldwater, is leading the annual Scouting for Food drive this fall to collect non-perishable food items for neighbors in need.
The scouts are asking the Branch County community to help combat hunger by participating in this two-part campaign. The drive will take place over two consecutive Saturdays in November.

Saturday, November 1st, Scouts will distribute plastic bags or flyers to homes throughout Branch County, announcing the drive and the upcoming collection date. Then on Saturday, November 8th, Scouts will return to homes to pick up the filled bags of donated food.
All food collected by Pack 433 will be delivered to The Eby Youth and Family Center to directly support the local community.
For those who prefer to make a monetary contribution, donations can be made by texting “SCOUTING4FOOD” to 91999. All financial contributions will go to the Scouting America, Michigan Crossroads Council, Scouting for Food campaign.
The annual Scouting for Food drive is a nationwide service initiative that provides a crucial boost to local food pantries as the holiday season approaches.
