COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners formally approved a tentative three year contract agreement with the union representing Circuit Court employees Tuesday.
Service Employees International Union, Local 517M, represents the employees. The deal would be in effect for 2026, 2027 and 2028.
Major changes in the contract include wage increases of four percent in the first year followed by three percent raises in the second and third years.
Branch County Administrator Frank Walsh said contract negotiations with the unions representing county employees have been positive.
Walsh plans to meet with non-union county employees on November 14 about their contract.
Negotiations are continuing with the Police Officers Association of Michigan and the Command Officers of Michigan along with the union representing District Court employees.
A new three-year contract with the P.O.A.M. for Branch County 911 dispatchers was approved in July.
