COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – While there are no contested races on tomorrow’s ballot for the City of Coldwater, there will still be one change on the city council.
After 14 years on the council, Mike Beckwith decided not to run for reelection. Former City Manager and Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Director Jeff Budd was the only candidate to file for the Third Ward seat.
Budd is stepping down from the city’s Planning Commission, and he is being replaced on that board by Beckwith.
Current Mayor Tom Kramer, First Ward Councilman Travis Machan, Second Ward Councilman James Knaack, and Fourth Ward Councilman Randall Hazelbaker are also running unopposed.
