MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – Construction of the BlueOval Battery Park Michigan is now more than 90% complete, with the focus now on installing equipment to prepare for the start of production in 2026.
The company also addressed a potential point of public concern, noting that the vapor seen coming from the plant is simply clean water vapor and does not contain any pollutants, contaminants, or irritants.
Meanwhile, the Marshall Modernization Project is continuing to advance improvements to local infrastructure. road crews are now working on a new boulevard-style section of M96 and the final bridge beams were lifted for the new diverging diamond interchange over Interstate 69.
Additionally, the eastbound side of the Bear Creek culvert is complete, with the westbound side progressing quickly. Substantial completion of the project’s first two phases is scheduled for December 2025.
When fully operational the battery park is expected to employ more than 1,700 workers.
