JONESVILLE, MI (WTVB)- A single vehicle crash claimed the life of a Jonesville man Friday morning.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the scene of an unknown crash in the 9000 block of Homer Road around 9:00a.m..
Upon arrival, deputies determined that a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Dakota Wesley Osborne had left the roadway and entered a nearby body of water.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team was called in to assist with the investigation and recovery efforts. Osborne was extricated from the vehicle and transported by Reading Emergency Unit to Henry Ford Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Authorities were assisted at the scene by the Hillsdale City Fire Department, Litchfield City Fire Department, Litchfield City Police Department, and Affordable Towing. The precise cause of the incident remains under active investigation by the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office.
