BRONSON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – An Angola woman is in the Branch County Jail today facing multiple drug charges following a late night traffic stop in Bronson Township.
According to Sheriff Fred Blankenship, deputies conducted a traffic stop just after midnight on US-12 near Bawden Road.
During the stop deputies became suspicious of possible narcotics activity and requested assistance from a police K-9 from the Coldwater Police Department.
The K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics during an open air search around the exterior of the vehicle. Deputies then conducted an interior search and discovered 240 grams of crystal meth and a substantial amount of heroin that were packaged for distribution.
The unidentified woman was taken into custody without incident, additional charges could be added following review from the Branch County Prosecutors Office.
