COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With still a handful of days left in the 2025 Michigan deer gun season Branch County hunters have already surpassed the number of deer harvested in the 2024 gun season.
As of this morning according to the states Deer Harvesting Summary, Branch County hunters have killed 1,750 deer surpassing the 2024 total of 1,117.
In Hilldale County hunters have harvested 4,306 deer while in St. Joseph County the number reported as of today was 1,465.
Statewide the number stands at 197, 534, that a significant increase over 2024 when the firearm season netted a total of 133,716 for the entire season and 136,716 in 2023.
Firearm season runs through Sunday.
