COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved a $55,000 Professional Services Agreement with Fishbeck Engineering of Lansing Monday night which begins the process for the 2026 construction season.
The third such agreement with Fishbeck allows them to begin the design and bid documents for next year’s local street and sidewalk maintenance projects.
City Manager Keith Baker says it will be a busy summer.
Sidewalks are scheduled to be replaced on the north side of U.S. 12 between Munson and Walnut Streets.
The special assessment sidewalks would be in the Arrowhead,
Northshore, Amberview, and Thompson Boulevard neighborhoods.
Baker says a number of streets have been targeted for milling and paving in 2026.
Among the streets being considered for milling and paving are..
Marshall between State and Church
Seeley between Morse and Thompson Blvd.
Michael Drive between Seeley and Thompson Blvd.
Pillsbury Avenue from Michael Drive to Thompson Blvd.
Parkhurst Avenue between Grand and North Fremont
Liberty Street from Grand to Marshall.
The cost for the street design, bidding and construction are budgeted out of the City’s Act 51 Local and Major Street Funds.
