COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Tibbits Opera House is inviting the community to experience the magic of the holidays as The Wizards of Winter bring their nationally touring, family-friendly, Christmas rock opera to the stage this Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
Originating with husband-and-wife team Scott and Sharon Kelly in 2010, the show has grown into a highly anticipated holiday event, featuring a blend of original compositions, classic carols, keyboards, flutes, saxophone, violin, guitar, bass, and Broadway-caliber vocals.
Tibbits Executive Director Christine Delaney says the performance is ideal for fans of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Entertainment Weekly described the experience as “the ultimate holiday playlist.”
To ensure community members can enjoy all of the day’s festivities around downtown Coldwater, Tibbits scheduled the performance as a 3:00 p.m. matinee, allowing time for attendees to also enjoy the other holiday activities including the evening holiday parade in downtown Coldwater.
The 12-performer ensemble includes musicians who have shared stages with acts like Alice Cooper, Def Leppard, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Tickets range from $25-$54 (including fees), with discounts for Tibbits members, and are available for the show at the historic Tibbits Opera House, located at 14 South Hanchett Street. Doors for the lobbies, art gallery, and Ghost Light Bar open at 2:00 p.m.
