JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – Consumers Energy and the Consumers Energy Foundation marked Giving Tuesday today by recognizing the work of nonprofit partners and encouraging residents to take part in the season of generosity.
Per a news release, the foundation awarded grants to 115 organizations in 2025 whose missions align with its focus on people, the planet and community prosperity.
Company employees also contributed time and resources throughout the year. Among the groups highlighted were Habitat for Humanity and United Way.
This year, 16 Habitat affiliates raised $300,000, supported by a matching grant from the company.
United Way supported early childhood education, financial stability programs and crisis response efforts statewide. In 2025, Consumers Energy employees contributed nearly $600,000 to the annual United Way campaign.
Consumers Energy and the foundation encouraged Michiganders to continue volunteering, donating and supporting neighbors as part of the Giving Tuesday spirit.
