COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s an issue facing school districts all across the state, a shortage of school bus drivers.
Branch County school districts are among the many across Michigan who are dealing with a shortage of drivers, in fact Coldwater Community Schools had to completely cancel a route on Monday forcing parents to scramble to find alternative transportation to and from School.
Coldwater Superintendent Paul Flynn says it’s nearly a daily occurrence.
Quincy Superintendent John Denney says they have a couple of fill ins on staff but it takes away from their daily duties when called to drive
