COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved a resolution Monday night for the Coldwater Police Department to replace both body cams and in car cameras.
Assistant Police Chief Patrick Beeman said the plan was to initially replace body cams this year and in car cameras in 2026,
Beeman says the cost with a five year contract is in line with what they had projected
He says the cost includes storing video data with Motorola that they are currently paying $10,000 a year for, He also said they will be on the same system with the Sheriff’s Department and State Police witch makes the process of sharing videos during investigations more stream lined.
The council unanimously approved the resolution.

They didn’t have these? Make sure they are required on all the time at traffic stops, warrants and dealing with subjects.
