LANSING, MI (WTVB) – State Senator Jonathan Lindsey’s (R-Coldwater) medical price transparency legislation, which would require hospitals to publicly disclose the costs of treatments and operations, passed the Michigan House of Representatives with unanimous bipartisan support.
The bill would also prohibit the collection of debts if a hospital does not comply with price transparency laws.
