Jerry Lee Turner, 87, of Edwardsburg, Michigan passed away December 19, 2025 at Tidwell House in Bradenton, Florida.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Isaac Tyson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy.
The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
He was born June 11, 1938 in Portland, Indiana to Lee and Bernice Turner. Jerry married Carol Downer on March 22, 1958 at East Algansee Baptist Church, and she survives.
Jerry graduated from Reading High School in 1957. After graduation, he attended several universities and received his degree from Tri-State University. He was a civil engineer for the State of Michigan for 40 years. After retirement, he worked for the Cass County Road Commission part time. He also became a professional engineer.
He was a Family Member at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Bradenton. In his spare time, he loved playing ping pong, right up until his passing.
Surviving besides his wife of 66 years, Carol is one son, Kevin Turner of Howe, IN; daughter, Cindy (Turner) Slayton of Palmetto, FL; sister, Peggy Slingerland of Virginia; brother, Tom Turner of Battle Creek; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Turner and Bernice Turner Scott.
