KNIGHTSTOWN, IN ( WTVB) – In a special event at a special gym, the Union City High School girls varsity basketball team improved to 7-0 Friday, as they beat Homer 75- 59 at the gym in Knightstown, Indiana where the Hoosier’s movie was filmed.
Leading the way for the Chargers was Ellie Williams with 20 points and 14 rebounds, while Callie Wilkinson had 17 points and six rebounds, Nala Payne had 13 points and seven assists, Madison Krummrey had eight points and four assists, and Lilly Eyre had six points and 12 rebounds.
The Union City girls will play at Stockbridge Tuesday.
The Chargers boys also played at the Hoosier Gym Friday, falling to Homer 83-73.
