COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Women Who Care of Branch County reached a significant milestone at their November meeting, raising $7,100 to bring their lifetime community contributions to $432,100 since 2014.
The membership voted to award the funds to Bethel Gilead Community Church in support of Branch County’s Night to Shine, a Tim Tebow Foundation-sponsored prom for individuals with special needs.
This local event, co-hosted by Bethel Gilead and Hope Church, provides a red-carpet experience for over 125 guests aged 14 and older, supported by 175 volunteers and caregivers. The meeting’s refreshments were provided by the Branch County Community Foundation.
The organization, which streamlines local fundraising through four one-hour quarterly meetings, invites members to their next gathering on February 18 at the Insight Coldwater Conference Center.
Women interested in joining can attend in person or donate online to support the group’s mission of impactful, collective giving. Local charities seeking funding for the next cycle must submit grant applications via the Women Who Care website https://www.womenwhocarebranchcounty.com/get-involved.html by the January 15 deadline.
