COLDWATER, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Even though temperatures will be warming up to more seasonal levels, another blast of snow is on the way.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the region, including Branch, St. Joseph and Calhoun counties from 1:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. Wednesday, with total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches with isolated higher amounts possible.
NWS says additional lake effect snow will likely continue through Friday for some parts of southwest Michigan, and hazardous cold is looking increasingly likely Friday into the weekend with widespread subzero readings expected and possibly dangerous wind chills.
After temperatures only rose into the mid-teens Tuesday, the high temperature Wednesday is expected to be 32, with a high of 22 Thursday before dropping to 6 above Friday.
