COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After sub-zero temperatures Saturday, steady snow across southwest Michigan Sunday is expected to add several more inches what is currently on the ground.
The Winter Weather Advisory for Branch, St. Joseph, Cass and Berrien counties continues through 10:00 p.m. Sunday (originally scheduled through 1:00 a.m. Monday).
Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Eaton counties are also under a Winter Weather Advisory from through 10:00 p.m. Sunday.
Several Branch County churches canceled Sunday morning services, while the City of Coldwater Recreation Department closed the Dr. Robert W. Browne Re
The weather system bringing the snow will move off to the northeast, as winds will shift to come out of the northwest.
That is expected to bring lake effect snow Monday, bringing more accumulation to areas west of U.S. 131.
