COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Dr. Edward Lake will serve another year as the President of the Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education as the Board decided to keep the same slate officers for 2026 Monday night.
Lake has been the Coldwater School Board President since July of 2015 and has been a board member for 25 years.
Jeffrey Holbrook will continue to serve as the Vice President, Clair Dean will be the Board Secretary and Kate Frederick will be the Board Treasurer.
Holbrook has served on the board since 2016. Dean has been a board member since 2010 and Frederick has served since 2020.
A special meeting has been scheduled for Monday, February 9 at 5:30 p.m. so that board members can approve the $64 million bond proposal language for the May ballot.
The district is aiming to modernize Coldwater High School. The proposal includes a 1.5 mill tax increase over 20 years in order to fund significant infrastructure, technology upgrades, and a new two-story, 62,000 square foot addition.
