COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) The Annual Love Local event returns to downtown Coldwater today from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..
Organized by the Coldwater Mainstreet Program the community celebration features the popular Best Of Bowls Soup and Chili Cook- off where local restaurants and organizations partner with downtown merchants to offer free samples.
Coldwater Economic Development Coordinator Erin Vesey says the annual event keeps getting bigger.
Visitors can “meander through local businesses” to taste various recipes and cast votes for their favorite spoonful.
Beyond the savory tastings, the afternoon offers plenty of entertainment and early Valentines Day shopping.
According to Downtown Development Authority board member and event co-chair Laura Trojanowski there will be several other things to do do while downtown
Several other business’s will be running sales and promotions during the event as well.
The event is designed to support the local business district and provide a festive winter gathering for families and residents alike.
