COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys swim and dive team hosted a tri-meet Thursday against the Sturgis and Harper Creek, with the Cardinals picking up a pair of wins.
Coldwater stayed unbeaten in the Interstate 8 Conference, beating the Trojans 98-75 and the Beavers 107-74.
Ivan McConnell earned his 4th qualifying win in diving to punch his ticket to the MHSAA dive regionals. Taylor Eberts won both the 200 and 500 freestyle. Mason Sabaitis won both the 50 and 100 freestyle. Benny Travelbee won diving.
The team of Redmond Hayes, Everett Duff, Logun Fisher, and Taylor won the 200 freestyle relay. The team of Sabaitis, Wyatt Lanning, Ivan and Taylor won the 400 freestyle relay.
The Cardinals swim again Saturday, hosting St. Joseph and Bridgman at the Browne Aquatic Center.
