COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County government offices and several community services will be closed on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, in observance of Presidents Day.
Impacted locations include the Branch County Courthouse, Branch County Annex Building, Veterans Affairs, Burnside Center, Public Defenders Office, and MSU Extension will be closed Mon Feb 16, 2026 for Presidents Day, we will return to normal hours on Tuesday
Residents should also prepare for broader service interruptions as federal and state offices observe the holiday. The US Postal Service will not deliver regular mail, and Michigan Secretary of State branch offices will be closed.
Most area banks and financial institutions will also remain shut, though ATM services and online banking will stay functional.
While almost all area schools will observe the holiday, most retail stores and restaurants in the area are expected to maintain regular hours
