COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater outscored Parma Western 15-4 in the third quarter to turn a 21-16 halftime deficit to a 31-25 third quarter advantage. The Cardinals went on to defeat the Panthers 42-33 in a Friday afternoon boys basketball matinee at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
Gavin Taylor led Coldwater with 14 points and 2 steals, while Dayton Ennis scored 8 of his 11 points in the pivotal third quarter while adding a pair of assists. Julian Thompson had 7 points and 5 rebounds, and Evan Lewis had 6 points, 5 boards, and 2 assists.
Coldwater improved to 9-10 overall, 6-5 in the Interstate 8, and will wrap up the regular season with three road games: next Monday at Sturgis, next Tuesday at Lakeview, and next Friday at Hastings.
