BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Branch County will be well represented at Saturday’s MHSAA Wrestling Individual Regionals and Sunday’s Girls Wrestling Individual Regionals. A total of nineteen wrestlers will take part after placing in the top four at Individual Districts last weekend.
Three wrestlers will represent Coldwater at the Division 2 Regional Saturday at Lowell:

- Raul Cecilio, 215
Despite bowing out of the team tournament Wednesday, Bronson will send six wrestlers to Saturday’s Division 3 Regional at Leslie:
- Brayton Cosby, 132
- Caleb Harvey, 157
- Brycen Fincham, 165
- Gabriel Erwin, 175
- Layne Knisely, 190
- Sam Tappenden, 285
Union City will have Branch County’s largest group of Regional participants, with seven taking part in the Division 4 Regional Saturday at Martin:
- Kaden Russell, 126
- Blayne Crance, 132
- Mitchell Graham, 138
- Kelub Miller, 150
- Isaiah Waidelich, 157
- John Olmsted, 175
- Luke Cronkwright, 285
In addition, the Chargers will find out who they will face in next Friday’s Division 4 Team Quarterfinals at Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo at the conclusion of Sunday’s seeding meeting.
Three girls from Branch County will be in action on Sunday. Bronson’s Anna Lindsey (190) and Union City’s Onalee Taylor (105) will be at the Portage Northern Regional, and Quincy’s Alexis Reif (115) will be at the Jackson Regional.
The top four finishers in each weight class will move on to the MHSAA Individual Finals on March 6th and 7th at Ford Field in Detroit.
