COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – For the second time in three years, the Coldwater boys swim and dive team won the Interstate 8 Conference championship.
The Cardinals hosted Hastings Thursday at the Browne Aquatic Center. The Cardinals won 11 of the 12 events to win 86-48 to stay unbeaten in theI-8 and clinch the conference championship.
Cooper Otto won the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. Cooper also broke the school record in the breaststroke with a time of 1:03.97.
Ivan McConnell won both diving and the 100 freestyle, Taylor Eberts won the 500 freestyle, Brennen King won the 200 freestyle, Wyatt Lanning won the 200 individual medley, and Cael Fischer won the 100 fly.
Coldwater also won all three relays.
The Cardinals finish up their regular season next week when they travel to Portage for the SMAC Conference Championship Meet.
