BURR OAK TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A report of a felony assault in Burr Oak Township led St. Joseph County Sheriff’s deputies to a major arrest Wednesday.
Upon arriving at the 400 block of Burr Oak Road, investigators discovered a 20-year-old male fugitive hiding out at the residence. The situation escalated when deputies uncovered multiple firearms in the suspect’s possession, including one weapon that had been previously reported stolen.
The unidentified suspect was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held at the St. Joseph County Jail pending arraignment on several felony charges.
While the investigation remains active, officials emphasized their commitment to curbing violent crime in the area.
