MARSHALL, MI ( WTVB) – The Michigan Court of Appeals has upheld zoning for the BlueOval Battery Park Michigan, clearing a path for production to begin this summer in Marshall.
This decision validates local officials’ actions, securing a project expected to create 1,700 jobs and has already employed over 2,000 construction workers.
As Marshall’s largest industrial property owner, Ford will contribute an estimated $5 million annually in property taxes, aiding economic revitalization efforts.
Marshall mayor Scott Wolfersberger also applauded the court’s decision this week, saying “Ford’s BlueOval project has been a huge boost for the community and the entire region”. Wolfersberger says ” Marshall has new hotels that are being built and new businesses that are opening, and the downtown is seeing investment and revitalization at levels not seen in decades”.

Has anyone heard the rumor that they will be converting the plant to Home Storage batteries? Also, they are scrapping the current equipment? Secondly, to convert to Home Battery usage, they have to raise the Roof 3 foot and lower the floor 4 foot. Might be worth sending a report up there to check it out.
If you check out the rumor on the plant, while you there check out the Data Center going being built at the east end of the Industrial site south of the airport. Might be next big story out of Marshal. Understand some equipment has already been delivered.
