COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Planning Commission approved a pair of special land use permits on Monday night for the installation of gasoline pumps at Bill’s Market on Marshall Street and for a drive through Scooter’s Coffee kiosk at 552 East Chicago.
Plans call for three gasoline pumps to be installed at Bill’s Market. The existing building would remain. A new canopy will be added to cover the fuel pumps and protect patrons from the weather. All of the fuel tanks would be below ground.
There will be no indoor seating at the Scooter’s Coffee business which will be next to the Los Tequilas restaurant.
Scooter’s will operate as a drive-through business only. Parking will be removed for the installation of the kiosk and other improvements.
According to Wikipedia, Scooter’s headquarters are in Omaha, Nebraska. They currently have 900 franchises in 29 states.
The Coldwater business would be the third one for Scooter’s Coffee in the State of Michigan. The others are on Columbia Avenue West in Battle Creek and in Kentwood.
