CONCORD, MI (WTVB) – Concord hosted the first Big 8 Conference boys golf jamboree of the season Monday at Concord Hills Golf Course. Quincy finished third with a team score of 183, just two strokes behind runner-up Stockbridge. Bronson was fifth with a 221, while Union City finished sixth with a 234.
For the Orioles, Braylon Estlow finished third individually with a 9-hole score of 41, Jax Sergeant was fifth with a 44, Carson Craven placed tenth with a 48, and Codin Ayerdi was 16th with is 50.
For the Vikings, Andrew McConn was eighth individually with his score of 46, while Naz Salesman had a 52, Layne Arver 58, and Drew Shoup 65.
The Chargers were led by Blayne Crance, who was part of a five-way tie for eleventh with his round of 49. Gabe Mowry shot a 54, Luke Arlt a 60, and Henry Case a 71.
Bronson will host Colon Thursday at Bella Vista Golf Course. The Vikings will join Quincy and Union City at the next Big 8 jamboree, which will be hosted by Springport next Monday, April 20, at Burr Oak Golf Club.
