COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Road Commission has announced plans to repave roughly 8.57 miles and reseal over 52 miles of county roads during the 2026 construction season, which officially begins next month.
Major paving projects include two segments of Central Road totaling nearly two miles, as well as significant stretches on Southern Road , North Marshall Road, and Garfield Road . Additionally, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will fund the milling and repaving of just over 6 miles of West Southern Road from Lott Road to Orland Road.
State-managed routes through Branch County will also see significant activity, including a $900,000 resurfacing project that began this week on M-66 that spans 3.2 miles from M-60 to S Drive South, that work is scheduled to be completed by the end of July.
