COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council officially approved the seventh season of “Hops on Monroe” during their meeting this week, adopting Resolution No. 26-36 to facilitate the popular summer series.
The weekly event is scheduled to run every Thursday night from June 25, through September 3.
Designed to boost downtown activity, the series will continue to offer live music, food trucks, and a variety of beverages for residents and visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
To accommodate the festivities, the council authorized the weekly closure of South Monroe Street between US-12 and West Pearl Street. The road closures will be in effect from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. each Thursday to allow for event setup and breakdown.
City officials noted that the event remains a cornerstone of their efforts to promote a vibrant downtown atmosphere and provide consistent mid-week entertainment throughout the summer months.
