PINCKNEY, MI (WTVB) – Stockbridge hosted the third Big 8 Conference boys golf jamboree of the season Tuesday at Timber Trace Golf Club in Pinckney. Quincy finished third with their team score of 182, Bronson was fifth with their score of 213, and Union City came in sixth with their 233. Springport won the jamboree bi just one stroke over second-place Stockbridge, 176-177.
The Orioles’ Jax Sergent was second individually as he fired a nine-hole score of 40, finishing just one shot back of the medalist, Springport’s Maximilian Augumedo. Braylon Estlow’s 44 was good for eighth, Codin Ayerdi shot a 48, and Carson Craven had a 50.
For the Vikings, Andrew McConn shot a 49, Layne Arver 51, Naz Salesman 52, and Joseph Bir 61.
For the Chargers, Blayne Crance fired a 45, which was good enough for tenth. Luke Arlt had a 53, Gabe Mowry 60, and Henry Case 75.
Quincy and Union City will take part in the St. Philip Invitational Saturday at Binder Park Golf Course. Bronson is idle until the next Big 8 jamboree, which the Chargers will host Monday at Turtle Creek Golf Course.
