COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – This Saturday, April 25, is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-05) encourages his constituents to participate by visiting one of the many drug disposal locations available throughout Michigan’s 5th Congressional District.
Walberg says Leftover or expired prescriptions often accumulate in homes, where they can be misused, stolen, or illegally sold.
As a member of the Bipartisan Heroin Task Force, Congressman Walberg has been committed to working with his colleagues to address the alarming opioid epidemic that is affecting communities in Michigan and sweeping the nation.
Those unwanted drugs can be dropped off at any Michigan State Police post with no questions asked.
