BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Bronson Community Schools officially marked the beginning of its first major bond project this morning with a ceremonial groundbreaking for a new athletic track. Originally slated for the afternoon, the event was moved to 9:00 a.m. to get ahead of forecasted weather. Members of the Board of Education and Superintendent Kate Wall as well as members of the Bronson track teams and other dignitaries gathered at the high school site with ceremonial hard hats and shovels to “sling some dirt,” signaling a milestone for the district following the successful passage of a $29.91 million bond proposal last November.

Wall said not to long ago these types of improvements for the school were just a dream
Wall added that passing a bond for the first time in a long time took a shared trust, partnership and a shared belief in whats possible for the kids.
The project will replace the existing, outdated six-lane yardage track with a modern eight-lane metric track, a critical upgrade that will finally allow the school to host MHSAA-sanctioned events.
