BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy and Union City boys golf teams spent Saturday afternoon at the Binder Park Golf Course in Battle Creek for the St. Philip Tiger Invitational. The Orioles tied with St. Joseph’s second team for seventh place with a 364 team score, while the Chargers were eleventh with a 421. St. Joseph’s first team won the event by one stroke over Harper Creek, 327 to 328.
Quincy’s Braylon Estlow finished in a tie for second with a round of 78, which was one back of the medalist, Harper Creek’s Brenden Daugherty. Also for the Orioles, Carson Craven shot a 93, Jax Sergent 94, Bo Tissue 99, and Codin Ayerdi 101.
For Union City, Blayne Crance led the way with his 88. Luke Arlt fired a 106, Gabe Mowry 107, Kelub Miller 120, and Zoey Fruin 132.
Quincy and Union City will take part in the fourth Big 8 jamboree of the season Monday, hosted by the Chargers at Turtle Creek Golf Course.
