COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Main Street Program has announced the return and expansion of its public art initiative, “Make Your Mark: Downtown Coldwater 2026,” inviting artists to submit proposals for bold, family-friendly asphalt art on South Monroe Street.
The project aims to enhance the historic downtown’s walkability and cultural appeal, fostering local pride through creative, community-focused designs.
Installations must be positioned between designated yellow lines to comply with MDOT regulations, with artists maintaining creative control over the size and scope of their work. While the city will facilitate safety with street barriers, artists must follow a strict installation schedule to minimize traffic disruption and ensure compliance with traffic control devices.
