COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A 39-year-old Coldwater man was arrested following a high-speed, multi-state pursuit that began with a traffic stop attempt for a license plate violation in Branch County on Monday night and ended in Indiana.
The suspect, Mason J Holbrook fled from deputies on Fiske Road, and was apprehended after Indiana State Police successfully deployed stop sticks near the I-80/90 on-ramp.
Holbrook fled primarily south on Fremont Road, west on Copeland Road, and then south on I-69 where speeds topped 100 mph.
Holbrook remains in the Steuben County jail on a charge of Resisting Law Enforcement while waiting for extradition back to Branch County.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking charges against Holbrooke.
The incident involved coordination between the Branch County Sheriff’s Office, Quincy Police Department, Indiana State Police, and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office
