QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Butler Motor Speedway officially kicked off its 2026 racing season on Saturday, May 2, with an action-packed Opening Night at “The World’s Fastest 3/8-Mile Dirt Track”.
The event featured a high-octane four-in-one program, bringing back fan-favorite divisions including the 410 Winged Sprints, UMP Modifieds, Street Stocks, and 4-Cylinders.
The season opener sets the stage for a blockbuster summer schedule at the historic facility, which has been in continuous operation since 1952. Major upcoming highlights include the return of the Kubota High Limit Racing series for the Mace Thomas Classic on May 30 and the Great Lakes Traditional Sprints on May 16.
With local stars like 2025 410 Sprint champion Jason Blonde and challenger Josh Turner expected to be in the thick of the title hunt, the 2026 season promises to deliver the intense, wheel-to-wheel action that has made Butler a cornerstone of Michigan’s dirt track racing scene.
