UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy and Union City split their Big 8 dual track meet Wednesday at Alumni Field. The Oriole boys had a commanding 110-26 victory, while the Charger girls won by the slimmest of margins, 69-68.
Quincy won 14 of the 17 events in the boys meet. Clayton Benson was a triple winner in the 200m and both hurdle races, while Noah Rufenacht won the 400m, high jump, and long jump. Chayse Jensen was a double winner in the 800m and 1600m, and the Orioles won three of the four relay races. Union City’s wins came from Cameron Cayo in the 100m and Noah June in the 3200m, along with the 4x100m relay team.
Quincy had two double winners in the girls meet: Brookelyn Parker was first in both hurdle races, and Addison Hasten won the shot put and discus. The Orioles won ten events total, with Union City taking the other seven.

Both squads will be at Quincy High School Friday for the Oriole Classic.
CONCORD, MI – Bronson and Stockbridge were at Concord for a double dual meet. The Viking boys defeated Stockbridge 90-33 and lost to Concord 76-58. The Lady Vikes fell to Stockbridge 60-35 and to Concord 96-25.
For Bronson’s boys, Dalton Hoard was a double winner in the 100m and 200m, and Brayden Fritz placed first in the shot put and discus. For the Viking girls, Miriam Sanchez won the 800m, Piper Grigsby won the 3200m, and Abby Ferry finished first in the discus.
