COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The final spring brush collection for the City of Coldwater is scheduled to begin on Monday.
Residents are required to have all materials placed along the roadway between the sidewalk and the curb by Monday morning to ensure pickup. Following this final sweep, the city will suspend brush services for the summer, allowing public works crews to shift their focus toward essential street maintenance and other community improvement projects.
City officials emphasize that strict enforcement will follow this deadline, noting that anyone placing brush at the curb after the May 4 round will be cited. If the debris is not removed by the homeowner, the city will clear the site and assess the cleanup costs directly to the property’s tax bill.
For those who miss the deadline, the municipal drop-off site at 45 Industrial Ave remains open daily from dawn until dusk. Authorities remind the public that the site is monitored and any illegal dumping will be prosecuted.
