WILLIAMSTON, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater ran at the 45th Annual Mitch Lutzke Invitational Friday at Williamston. Competing in the Large Schools division, the boys were second with 124 points, while the Lady Cards were fourth with 91 points.
Travon Mitchell was a double winner for the Cardinal boys, taking first in both hurdle races. His twin brother Trevor won the 400m, and Jackson Reilly was first in the shot put. Since it was an early qualifying approved meet, Travon Mitchell (300m hurdles) and Jackson Reilly (shot put) automatically qualified for the State Finals for exceeding the EQ qualifying standard.
For the Lady Cards, Miyah Moore won the 400m, and Marie Powers was first in the shot put.

Coldwater’s net meet will be Tuesday at Parma Western.
QUINCY, MI – Quincy hosted the Oriole Classic Friday to kick off their All-Sports Weekend. The Oriole boys won with 155 points, with Union City finishing sixth with 59 points, On the girls side, Union City was second with 104 points, 6.5 points behind first place Pittsford, while Quincy was fourth with 96 points.
The Quincy boys saw Clayton Benson win both hurdle races, with Lincoln Sims taking first in the shot put. The Orioles also won the 4x400m and 4x800m relays. There were two double winners for the Quincy girls: Brookelyn Parker in the hurdle races and Addison Hasten in the shot put and discus. In addition, Elizabeth Longardner won the 400m.

Quincy will host Reading and Stockbridge for a double dual meet next Wednesday, while Union City will join Bronson at Springport.
Meanwhile, All-Sports Weekend at Quincy continues Saturday with baseball, softball, and girls soccer tournaments.
