ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – Two lucky Powerball tickets, each worth $1 million, were sold in Angola for the historic Wednesday drawing, according to the Hoosier Lottery.
The winning tickets were purchased at Country Fair Shell on North Wayne Street and Paradise Express on North 200 W.
These Angola winners were among 20 Hoosiers who became instant millionaires that night, a remarkable event that also saw a co-jackpot winner from La Porte, Indiana, split a $143.4 million prize with a player from Kansas.
The Angola tickets matched all five white ball numbers—3-19-35-51-67—missing only the Powerball number 15.
Lottery officials have urged the winners to keep their tickets in a safe place and seek financial advice before claiming their prizes, as they have 180 days from the drawing date to come forward.
This surge of winners marks one of the most successful nights in Hoosier Lottery history, with 14 tickets statewide winning $1 million and another five winning $2 million.
