QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy hosted the Oriole Classic girls soccer tournament Saturday as part of its annual All-Sports Weekend and came away with a runner-up finished. The Orioles defeated Constantine 5-1 in the opener and were shut out by Sturgis 6-0 in the championship game.
Laura Bostic had four goals against Constantine, with Kenzie Maynard adding a goal. Elizabeth Woodward and and Claire Carpenter had assists.
Against Sturgis, Olivia Davenport recorded 11 saves in goal.
Quincy will tkae a 7-4 record to its showdown Monday afternoon at Springport. Both the Orioles and Spartans are tied atop the Big 8 standings at 5-0.
