HASTINGS, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater and Marshall were at Hastings Monday for an Interstate 8 double-dual meet. The Cardinal boys beat Hastings 77-59 and lost to Marshall 72-64. The Lady Cards triumphed over Hastings 72-65 and Marshall 94.5-41.5.
Luke Aerts was a double winner for the Coldwater boys, taking first in the 800m and 1600m. Trevor Mitchell won the 400m, and his twin brother Travon was first in the 110m hurdles. Jackson Cilla won the shot put, and the Cardinals won the 4x440m and 4x800m relays.
For the Coldwater girls, Miyah Moore was a triple winner in the 100m, 200m, and 400m. Gwen Eby won the 800m, and Marie Powers was first in the shot put. The Lady Cards also won the 4x200m, 4x400m, and 4x800m relays.

Coldwater will take part in an MHSAA Division 2 Regional meet Friday at Sturgis.
UNION CITY, MI – Union City hosted Concord and Reading in a Big 8 double-dual meet at Alumni Field. The Charger boys edged Reading 65-63, but fell to Concord 91-40. The Lady Chargers thumped Reading 101-29 and lost to Concord 83-54.
In the boys meet, Union City had only one event winner: Noah June placed first in the 3200m. The Charger girls got their wins from Kyle Creech in both hurdle races, Olivia Olmsted in the discus, Keira Taylor in the pole vault, and Issabella Halder in the long jump.

Union City will be running in an MHSAA Division 3 Regional Friday at Hillsdale.
