COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater’s local art scene is getting a vibrant new addition this week. Advanced art students from Legg Middle School and Coldwater High School (CHS), alongside members of the National Art Honor Society (NAHS), are set to host an installation ceremony for their latest mural project on Monroe Street.
The event, scheduled for Thursday, May 14, at 4:00 PM, celebrates the hard work of student artists Ava, Maranda, Morgan, London, Ian, Ariadna, and Rory, who have spent months bringing their creative vision to life for the community.
The project was made possible through a collaboration between the school district and several local organizations, including Coldwater Country, Coldwater Main Street, and the City of Coldwater.
Sponsored by local businesses such as Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Jewell, Attorney at Law, the mural serves as a public showcase of the students’ technical skills and artistic growth. Community members are encouraged to attend the ceremony on Monroe Street to support the young artists, with public parking available nearby at the Tibbits parking lot.
