VERMONTVILLE, MI (WTVB) – Quincy’s girls soccer team locked up its second consecutive Big 8 Conference championship following their 9-1 win Monday at Maple Valley. The Orioles improved to 9-4 overall and 7-0 in conference play; second-place Springport has already wrapped up their league schedule at 6-2, with both losses coming to the Lady Orioles.
Quincy can run the table in the Big 8 with a Senior Night win Thursday against Bronson.
The Vikings fell to 4-10-1 after a 9-1 loss at Jackson Christian. Riley Graham scored Bronson’s only goal of the night.
Coldwater dropped to 7-6-1 and closed out Interstate 8 play at 2-4 as they were shut out at Parma Western 8-0 in a game that was rescheduled from a weather-related postponement on April 22nd. The Cardinals will host Springport Wednesday on Senior Night.
