QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy’s girls soccer team improved to 10-4 overall and closed out an undefeated Big 8 campaign at 8-0 as they picked up a Senior Night victory Wednesday against Bronson, 7-1.
The Orioles scored early and often, with Elizabeth Woodward getting the first goal in the second minute. Kenzie Maynard converted a penalty kick, then Laura Bostic scored the next four goals to give Quincy a 6-0 lead. Bronson’s Journey Smith had her team’s only goal, the first ever against the Orioles in 11 matches. Ciaira Paul finished the scoring with a late goal for Quincy.
Riley Graham set a new school record with 26 saves for Bronson, who fell to 4-11-1 overall and 3-4 in the Big 8. They will play at the Stockbridge Invitational Pilot on Saturday.
Quincy will wrap up the regular season Monday at Pennfield.
THREE RIVERS, MI – Coldwater was shut out at Three Rivers 3-0 Thursday. The Cardinals wrapped the regular season with an 8-7-1 record. They will host Stevensville Lakeshore Wednesday in a Division 2 District first round game.
